Verbtraining
From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. The term training refers to the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competencies as a result of the teaching of vocational or practical skills and knowledge that relate to specific useful competencies. It forms the core of apprenticeships and provides the backbone of content at institutes of technology (also known as technical colleges or polytechnics). In addition to the basic training required for a trade, occupation or profession, observers of the labor-market recognize today the need to continue training beyond initial qualifications: to maintain, upgrade and update skills throughout working life. People within many professions and occupations may refer to this sort of training as professional development. Some commentators use a similar term for workplace learning to improve performance: training and development. One can generally categorize such training as on-the-job or off-the-job:
Training differs from exercise in that people may dabble in exercise as an occasional activity for fun. Training has specific goals of improving one's capability, capacity, and performance. Compare: From Wikipedia under the
GNU Free Documentation License What kinda training dose an officer in the military go throw is it similar to basic training? Q. Is an officers training for the military similar to the basic training enlisted go throw? What do officer do in training how is it I'm thinking of becoming an officer. My other question is what is the difference between regular officer training and some one who is going to be a lawyer or a Chaplin in the military how dose their training differ? The only reason i ask is cause on the air force website the training for officer sounds different the the training to be a lawyer which is still an officer. Asked by Scotty - Mon Nov 16 11:33:10 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. You have three ways to become an officer in the military: ROTC through your college, going to one of the military schools (West Point e.g.) or getting your college degree first and then applying to OCS (Officer Candidate School.) If you go the OCS route, you still have to go through regular basic training in the army, then you go to OCS, which is a more advanced kind of basic for officers. If you are going to be a lawyer, you have two options: You can be a currently practicing lawyer and go in that way, or you can become an officer in one of the other ways and then apply for law school training. As a chaplain, you don't do anything that other people do, because you're not really a "soldier" per se. You are ministering to soldiers. … [cont.] Answered by Grace - Mon Nov 16 15:41:04 2009 What training should I start with for an 11 week old puppy? Q. We just got an 11 week old german shepherd puppy. She is already house trained. I was going to start with some simple stuff like getting used to the car also get some recordings of thunder or loud bass to remove future fear of it. But as far as training (sit, stay and so on...) what should I start with and when? Asked by John S - Wed Jul 30 20:39:11 2008 - - 11 Answers - 0 Comments A. Good start. If you dog is able to pay attention, you can work with 5 basic commands, sit, stay, down (lay down), heel and place. Give her the sit command, then help her to sit. Praise. Give her the heel command and start walking. Keep her right beside you and on the same side each time (your choice). Then stop with a sit command, and help her sit. Praise. Do this a few times. When she starts to get the hang of it, you can correct her. You can mix it with down command. To get her to go down, step on the leash and apply gentle pressure to start to get her down. Give her a hand command with that. Put the palm of your hand over her head (not on her head). The place command is helpful with visitors, or dealing with trouble, etc. … [cont.] Answered by Debcallico - Wed Jul 30 20:53:57 2008 What are the different types of training a police officer can go through?
Q. There is firearms training, cultural training ( which I don't even now what that is) what else is there? I have to discuss about different training methods for officers who use excessive force. Thank you. Asked by livexdreams - Tue Dec 1 14:48:09 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. There is typically a block of instruction in academies detailing the use of force protocols. I have never heard of anybody having to sit through that again as a reaction to an excessive force complaint. Usually this is a constantly updated subject in annual refresher training that is required in most places. The Cultural awareness training is the worst PC bullsh*t you could ever imagine.
