i have a fourteen month old german shepherd dog who is very well fed but is not gaining any weight?
Q. my dog lucy is fourteen months old and despite a very good diet including canned dog food fresh meats and biscuits she is looking very thin and does not seem to be gaining any weight. she does not have worms and apart from being a bit lazy she seems to be in very good health apart from the weight issue can anyone offer any advice on dietary issues and general health issues that may explain this

A. With a clear vet check, she is just a teenage pup. Let her mature out. She grows in height the first year and fills out in the second year. Thin at 14 mos is normal as long as she is healthy. She is not meant to be heavy at this age (causes joint problems.)
